DU NAND Truth Table Project
Description
Chapter 4 Assignment: AI Logic
In this assignment, you will complete exercise 2 from the textbook, reproduced here for accessibility (Lucci & Kopec, 2016):
A logic operator not defined in this chapter is the NAND function; it is denoted by ↑. NAND is short for “not AND” where ↑ = ( ^ ).
a. Give the truth table for the two-input NAND function
b. Show that the NAND operator can be used to simulate each of the AND, OR, and NOT operators
Submit:
- Word document with a screenshot containing output of the program’s execution as well as a screenshot of your complete code implementation. Please include a cover page with your name, course and date.
- A zip file of the folder containing the visual studio solution.
Grading Rubric:
Exceeds expectations (3) | Meets expectations (2) | Does not meet expectations (1) | |
NAND Truth Table |
|
One error in the NAND true table | Two errors in the NAND true table |
Show the NAND operator can be used to simulate the 3 operators listed above | All 3 are shown | 2 are shown | 1 is shown |
