dissection question
Description
Use the eight phases of the communication process to analyze a miscommunication you’ve recently had with a co-worker, supervisor, classmate, teacher, friend, or family member. What idea were you trying to share? How did you encode and transmit it? Did the receiver get the message? Did the receiver correctly decode the message? How do you know? Based on your analysis, identify and explain the barriers that prevented your successful communication in this instance.

I believe that company managers from a country that has a relatively homogeneous culture might find it challenging when they do business with culturally diverse staff of a company in less homogenous country. One of the challenges they would have to deal with will be that they will have to make sure that the massages that they are trying to send are received and encoded properly. There can be a language barrier which can make communication difficult. Another challenge that company manager could face would be the nonverbal differences. Some of these nonverbal differences would be greetings, eye contact, facial expressions and personal space. For instance, a person from certain country can be okay with hugging while greeting a person they are doing business with and the other person not. All these factors can affect the intercultural communication between company managers in a country that has relatively homogeneous culture when they do business with a company with a less homogeneous company.
