In the article we compared differences between tetrofosmin and sestamibi based on image quality, the time between the injection and the scan and the need for re-scans. We also considered the patient experience and cost

The doses for tetrofosmin and sestamibi is almost the same so we will not have this variable like the dose difference between (Tc, Tl)

Most studies found that there is no significant difference between tetrofosmin and sestamibi they both will provide the same image quality. The time difference also not significant tetrofosmin is usually preformed in about 10 mins earlier than sestamibi. When we compare them from the heart to extra-cardiac ratio, we find that we get a better uptake for the heart with tetrofosmin than with sestamibi in the stress test but it was not very significant difference. There is also no difference in the rescanning between them. the tetrofosmin was rated better than sestamibi. We also have other studies that indicates that sestamibi is superior to tetrofosmin. However, there is no hard evidence that one of them is better or worse than the other one. We can perform exams with both of them as long as we use them correctly and we use the correct time between injecting the patients and scanning them. The cost of making tetrofosmin and sestamibi is almost the same

In my opinion, we have been using tetrofosmin for our myocardial images and we should continue using it since there is no difference and our images quality are very good
