can you please reply to those two students:
After watching two videos on Cialdini’s Principles and Monroe’s Motivated Sequence, there are two persuasive ideas that caught my attention. Firstly, one of them is the “liking” in the six science principles by Cialdini, which is about finding each team member’s similarity, making compliments to each other and finding ways of cooperation before negotiation. In this way, we set each member on a common ground, making it easier to persuade audiences to accept our request. Secondly, regarding Monroe’s Motivated Sequence, the fourth step is “virtualization”, which can make audiences more engaged and interested. So audiences can better understand our team’s point of view. For example, workflow is a good way for visualization. In a word, persuasion does have its science.
After viewing the “Elements of Monroe’s Motivated Sequence,” I found it very helpful in cultivating ideas for our team. Firstly, the tip that stood out to me the most was “attention,” this is very important for our webinar because we want to capture our audiences attention to draw them in from the begining and keep them intrested for the rest of the webinar. Also the “visualization” tip stated that vivid imagery is very important it will keep our audience locked in by giving visuals to match what we are speaking about which gives everything a better understanding. I’m looking forward to hearing everyone elses thoughts!
