De Anza College Anthropology AAA Code of Ethics Discussion

I’m working on a anthropology multi-part question and need guidance to help me learn.

A practicing anthropologist is a professionally trained anthropologist who is employed or retained to apply his or her specialized knowledge problem solving related to human welfare and human activities. Since people interact in a complex manner the AAA has created guidelines and principles to support anthropologists in dealing with ethical situations such as getting permission from research subjects, sharing the information obtained, protecting confidentiality and managing intellectual property rights. The guidelines also govern interpersonal relationships, including those between professors and students or research collaborators.

The Task:

2. Then visit this site (http://www.aaanet.org/committees/ethics/ch3.htm (Links to an external site.)) about “Case Studies and Solutions” and read one of the case studies.
3. Summarize the case and argue which points of the ethical code apply. Consider what you think the anthropologist should do in this situation based on the ethical code.
