Native American Reservation Soboba is facing some challenges related to soil erosion and the impacts of soil erosion on housing projects within the reservation. They would like to see what kind of assistance/solutions you can offer them. Attached is a picture of one of the problem areas on Poppet Creek. They have started planting some native vegetation in the area but due to high temperatures and droughts, the vegetation is not surviving. You can find a Key Erosion Areas Map of the Soboba Reservation in the attachment. The areas are numbered 1-7; going from highest project prioritization (1) to least (7). Let’s focus on number 1 for now. Also, attached is a Soil Report conducted by NRCS in 2010 that highlights soil limitations and provides information about soil properties. Thus, I would like for you to: 1) find some more updated soil information online – this document is from 2010; 2) come up with some interventions and solutions.
