Cuyamaca College .NET Worksheet
Description
These are the parts we want to accomplish with this assignment
create port channel – this is the virtual interface
create trunk links between systems using port channel – put 2 ports from each switch in the port channel
These should be ports g1/0/23 and g1/0/24
You might have to re address your workstations ( that is in the video)
Add 2 routers – this is so we can route between vlans – it won’t work completely yet
add interfaces and sfps – this is turning off the router, dragging and dropping interfaces and sfp’s into the empty slots
connect routers to switches for user vlans – this is how we get from the workstation to the default gateway
ping router from workstations to prove gateway works – this means you did it right if it works, and if it doesn’t we get to troubleshoot your issue.
There are multiple videos in the files section that show how to do each of these. You are responsible for configuring the second router. It is almost identical to the first but has different IP addresses for the default gateways for vlans 4 and 5.
Configure OSPF so the routers can pass the route tables back and forth.
A complete assignment will be able to ping any workstation from every other workstation.
If they are unable, check if you can ping the default gateway from a workstation. If not, there is a layer 2 issue (think switch).
Make sure you enable the router ports as the interfaces are disabled by default to prevent unexpected routes.
