The course module lecture featured the project lifecycle continuum with the Predictive (aka Waterfall) and the adaptive Agile lifecycle approaches at opposing ends of the spectrum as illustrated in Table 1. Project Life Cycle Approach Characteristics. Although popular in software development projects for many years, emergent trends in project management evidence a growing adoption of the Agile project management methodology in a broad range of industries.
Should the Waterfall approach be replaced in its entirety by the Agile project management methodology?
