Another important element here is the work and life balance. Working at IBM for over a decade, I understood the concept of a work-family balance program to solve the problem of work-family conflict. When I had my third baby, I was given two weeks off with pay to take care of my family, and when my mother passed away, it was three weeks with pay to go back to Africa to finish the funeral rites. I have co-workers who were given flexible work hours, like working 12 hours for three days to have enough time to take care of sick loved ones. Some workers were even given reduced hours enough to sustain their benefit but enable them to have time to take care of their loved ones who happened to be sick and needed more attention.The human resource departments of many organizations are using work-family balance as a strategy not only to attract the best talents but also to retain them. This is obvious in Silicon Valley, where the Hi-Tech companies are competing for the best talent and to the extreme of offering paternity leave paid time off for fathers to bond with their new babies. They are very creative in preventing work-family conflict.

read this post please then provide a comment below it: It is like domino effect; attitude and behavior are connected because a good and positive attitude results in positive and good behaviors and bad attitudes lead to negative behaviors. One persons’ positive attitude and/or a good energy of a person could affect a friend/family/co-worker/classmate/crowd/ in a positive way and a negative attitude can lower their spirit or affect their mood negatively. One aspect of employees’ attitude is the impact it can have on the people around them. Our behavior at work often depends on how we feel about being there. Job satisfaction could come from various aspects and refers to the feelings people have toward their job. Leaders can consider setting an example to keep positive attitudes/behavior in workplace, exhibiting positive attitudes can lead to a healthy business environment. Proper ambience is a good way to take care a good attitude too. For example, proper lighting at work could make a difference or a paint and/or a the set up because surroundings can create a positive impact on employees and can contribute to work efficiency. One more important thing is recognition; employees should have a feeling that they are appreciated by management and you will feel motivated because of that simple gesture and appreciation. Attitude have a huge impact on every workplace or environment, employee, work culture and the work itself. Organization commitment can be thought of as an extension of job satisfaction, as it deals with the positive attitude that an employee has, not toward his/her own job, but toward the organization.
