Your assignment: This assignment requires you to only create controls in EXCEL. You do NOT have to fill out
the values in the applicable cells. Retrieve the spreadsheet template from Canvas for this assignment & edit
it to include the following controls:

1. Your name must appear in cell B1 and must not exceed 30 characters total
2. Section # in Cell B3 must NOT permit any alphabetic text.
3. Answer in Cell B6 must force entry of either “YES” or “NO” – no other values can be accepted
4. Annual fee in Cell B10 cannot exceed 8% of total purchase cost in Cell J9
5. Training costs (located in Cells D12, E12, F12, G12, H12, & I12) cannot exceed $12,000 in year 0 and
$3,000 thereafter in years 1 through 5
6. Savings due to efficiency (located in Cells D14, E14, F14, G142, H14, & I14) cannot exceed $5000 in
years 1 through 5 but, must be zero in year 0

A useful tool for this assignment is the data validation capability in EXCEL, which is easy to learn & use via
web search.
