The message of Jesus was often considered counter cultural, not only to his own time, but even until today. How can Christianity stay true to its counter cultural core, while still maintain its relevancy to different cultural norms and practices throughout the ages?

◦ At least two of the sources should come from those used during “in class” article presentations (you may read article summaries posed in the discussion treads to get a glimpse into what the article is about);

◦ At least two other sources “outside” the texts supplied in this class. (you will need to do research)

◦ At least one concept discussed in a class lecture given in the previous section. (This does not count as a peer reviewed source, but I want to make sure the lectures are utilized to construct your arguments)

There are some great resources out there to help you find appropriate peer reviewed source material. One place to find some good journal articles is JSTOR (www.jstor.org (Links to an external site.)). You should have free access to these articles through your SDSU account. Of course, there is also the SDSU library, which contains plenty of books, journal, etc. to help you with this task as well. I’d like you to avoid using websites, as often these are not the most reliable and lack peer reviewed status.
