There are many skill that will be useful in a career as a I/O psychologist consultant. Five skills that I have obtained through my general education classes that will make me successful at this job are gained knowledge, verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking skills, organizational skills, ethical behavior.

Demonstrate with at least two examples how your newly acquired knowledge and skills have shaped both your personal and professional development.

The newly acquire knowledge and skills have shaped my personal and professional development by helping me become a better listener and having the ability to think critically, analyze and solve problems. Having the emotional intelligence will help me manage my own emotions, as well as the emotions of others to better understand them. I also feel that learning about diversity and the broad range of ideas has helped me become more self aware of the different perspectives that comes with professional and personal development.

Describe your plans for putting your education to use within your community.

I plan to put my education to use within my community by providing them some of the knowledge that I have gained throughout the years, and showing them the importance of obtaining an education. I personally feel that there is not enough mental support when it comes to individuals having to juggle both work and family life. I plan on helping those in my community find ways to manage their time effectively, and teach them how to cope with their life and work related stressors. As well as, motivating those around me to become the best versions of themselves.
