I’m working on a music discussion question and need support to help me learn.

• Creative people use, make, and modify technology as “tools” to support their creative vision. Performing musicians view their instruments as tools, and, likewise, instrument-makers routinely make and modify “tools to make tools”. In your musical experiences and in the experiences you’ve observed of other musicians, in what ways have your usages of technological “tools” (software, hardware, instruments, effects, etc.) inspired or facilitated your creative ideas? Conversely, in what ways have you approached your creative work without the tools in mind, only to then spend some time identifying and learning to use a tool to facilitate your creative idea?
