Like a film review, your paper should include 1) a summary of the key points, arguments,commentary, or interventions made by the authors of the required texts assigned for the week. Explain the context in which the texts were created.

Consider what year they were published or release; what issues or other texts/films were they responding to? Your paper should also include 2) your own response to the key points or arguments made in the required readings. Did the author make valuable interventions in their text? Explainwhy or why not. Were there ‘blind spots’ in their reasoning? What were they? If the text is several years old, do the arguments, points-of-view, or subject matter presented by the author add anything valuable to current debates in anthropology or trends in film and media?

2 pages, double-spaced. 12pt font. Times NewRoman. 1-inch margins on all four sides. List your name in the header of the document. Do not include a cover page or use page space to list the date, class name, etc.You must reference (and properly cite) at least one of the readings or films assigned. Use the Chicago Manual Style of in-text citations(Author’s last name and year of publication, page number)
