Avoiding Plagiarism [WLO: 3] [CLOs: 2, 3]
Plagiarism is defined as taking someone else’s work and passing it off as one’s own. The word comes from the Latin root “plagiare,” which means to steal. Plagiarism is considered an act of fraud and the most frequently violated offense under most schools’ academic code of conduct.
