Operations management is a skill set that is very valuable in public administration. Identifying who a policy change will affect and properly communicating the impact with them will help you build consensus and support for the changes.  

In this assignment, you will continue to work on your policy change or new policy by writing a 1,050- to 1,500-word paper in which you discuss the development of your public policy change or new policy and leadership and management skills used in its development. You should leverage the work you did in Week 2 in this assignment.  

Specifically, your paper should do the following:

Refines problem statement you drafted in your previous assignment. Make sure you address your stakeholder’s interests in the problem statement. You should also include any important definitions related to your problem statement.  

Discusses your policy topic’s stakeholders and their roles in the success of your plan 

• Describes the methodology used to define the problem 
• Determines the effect of the problem 
• Examines 3 leadership and management skills utilized in the problem-solving process for your proposed policy change or new policy 
• Describes the resources and benchmarks required to form a strategy for the implementation of your plan (this could include leveraging your stakeholders) 
• Assesses the effectiveness of the leadership and management skills utilized
