ASU Communications Informative Speech & Persuasive Speech Discussion

I’m working on a communications discussion question and need a sample draft to help me learn.

1. What is the difference between an informative speech and a persuasive speech? Provide an own example with topic for illustration.
2. Why is speaking to persuade more challenging than speaking to inform? In your work experience, you probably experienced customers that just would not be convinced to buy a certain thing or do something-why is that?  If you do not have work experience, discuss persuasion that you used participating on a sports team or in a volunteer capacity such as a fundraising event. How successful were you with your persuasive appeals?
3. Explain how you addressed the three basic issues of a persuasive appeal that include need (problem), plan, and practicality (why your solution works).
