This is my answer: Doing a full body scan a few times a day or at least on a consistent basis can definitely help us handle stress. By doing this we are giving ourselves the opportunity to release stress and tension from certain areas of the body. After trying all the stretches in chapter 6 the were three that I was able to narrow it down to. The three that I enjoyed the most were the squat, the seed to tree, and the windmill. The squat allowed me to focus on balance and was actually felt like I was exerting energy to perform this. I liked the seed to tree for what the name represents and how my mind and body felt while I was doing it. While performing the seed to tree stretch, I breathed deeply and tried to imagine myself evolving to the greatest possible version of myself. And lastly the windmill stretch just had the best overall feeling on my body.
There are many ways that I can create more mindful relationships. Three ways that I narrowed it down to after reading the chapter is by being aware of my own feelings, understanding other people’s feelings, and learning to give back a sense of understanding to what the other person is feeling. There are also a few things I could do to become a more mindful steward of my community. Three ways that I narrowed this down to is that I could make a better effort to conserve water and this could be done by just being more mindful of my shower or sink usage. I can also promote the eating of organic foods in the community Lastly, I could switch to energy efficient light bulbs.
