The concepts that I thought were the most important were the Hofstede’s cultural dimensions and learning about international policies. Both concepts added an extra layer of how complicated globalization can be. The idea of starting up a business is stressful enough as it is domestically but to go across borders and to strategize how to work with international associates and abide by foreign regulations just made me appreciate how competent many of the world’s companies are.

I think this course will benefit both my personal and professional development. Personally, I felt that I had a stronger work ethic for research than I’ve ever realized. Also, I learned a lot about my chosen company for the project. Professionally, I felt that my perspective on business has grown and I realize now more than ever that I have a lot more to learn and master when it comes to business.

The most beneficial part from this course was the project portfolio. It’s been several years since I’ve had to write an actual research paper and this project really pushed me to get back into that research mindset. Honestly, the first part of the paper was really tough and quite stressful. The questions were sometimes difficult to answer and consolidating all the information in just a few lines was incredibly difficult. However, I had an easier time with the second part and definitely for the third. By the time I had reviewed my paper one last time before submitting it today, I’d realized how far I’d come from two months ago. I had realized that I just needed to be patient with myself and my abilitie

This might sound terrible, but something I got out of this course was a much better sense of geography. Having to research countries on different continents gave me a better understanding of where other places actually are. Additionally, I really enjoyed learning about the different business practices across countries and how countries work together in standardized ways such as the WTO, IMF, and international GAAPs.

I’m super thankful for all of the writing assignments. It’s not that I was thrilled to write paper-after-paper, but I’ve already seen an improvement within my personal and professional writing throughout this course. Furthermore, this course helped me to be a better researcher. I still have plenty of room for improvement but definitely have a better grasp on what it means to find credible sources.
