1.Large Group Facilitation Write up; Each student will be responsible for developing and submitting a typewritten plan for implementing the large group sessions he/she proposes to co-lead. The write up will describe how the specific group session will be planned, implemented and evaluated. The co-leaders will make use of one of the theoretical orientations for group counseling described by Corey. (Theoretical orientation is a rigid framework that provides specific steps of how to conduct a counseling session.) It should also include 1) brief overview of the group theory you are using 2) a brief description of the segment to be facilitated – specific techniques and activities you will use 3) specific goals for the group 4) ethical principles or ground rules used to structure your group 5) why I chose this segment/techniques/activities to facilitate.

2. I am needing group observation notes prepared. Since I do not have the exact feedback yet this can be completed based off of how you would respond as a client in the group session.

Group Observation Notes: Each facilitator will complete separate group notes on two group members based on a typical progress note format. Please use the following: Intervention—one sentence statement of what the facilitator did and why it was done, Data—objective information about the member’s response to the session and the intervention, Assessment—the facilitator’s opinion of the group member’s progress towards individual goals and participation in the group process, and Plan—what the facilitator will do next session with this group member.
