Instructions: Research and write about a cross-cultural topic.
The project can include, but not limited to:
Writing about a cross-cultural psychological topic of interest. You can draw inspiration from discussion posts, chapter topics, or take a research study that you’ve seen to find out if there are new developments.
Interview a person who is native to a culture different from your own. Explore your own culture and drawing cross-cultural differences in practices, beliefs, values, etc.
Exposure to a group/community event where you make cross-cultural comparisons based on concepts we’ve covered (e.g., interdependent vs independent, gender roles, important values).
Select reference groups: 1) race 2) ethnicity 3) gender 4) religious identity 5) sexual orientation 6) social class.
Cross-cultural differences in social gatherings (e.g., weddings, funerals), healthcare (e.g., behaviors, psychological factors, interventions), or business factors (e.g., negotiations, mediations, leadership).
