Lone Star College How do Marriages Today Differ from the 1960s PPT
Description
- Informative Speech Outline with Bibliography & Informative Speech Presentation
TOPIC: How marriages today differ from marriages from the 60’s
1: The textbook on pages 364 – 367 has an example of a preparation outline. You must turn in a typed presentation outline, with bibliography.
- This is a speech class, if you do not present a speech, no points will be given for an outline.
- Do not submit a full narrative for your speech. This is an extemporaneous speech. No outline points will be given for a narrative.
- Use full sentences for all parts. You will, more than likely, have more supporting data and sub-supporting points that indicated here. Remember, everything you discuss in your speech must be represented in your outline!
- Your bibliography must be typed and in MLA or APA format. You will need at least 5 sources (3-scholarly, 2 – creditable but non-scholarly accepted).
- Your speech must be 5-7 minutes long.
- You may use 5 note cards (1- card Introduction, 1 – card conclusion, and 1 – card for each main point)! If you use sheets of paper, you will be docked 10 points.
All students are expected to incorporate an extemporaneous style of delivery.
Please remember this is an informative speech. If at any time you attempt to reinforce or change audience attitudes, or you are advocating a specific action, you are probably falling into the realm of a persuasive speech which will receive a 15-point deduction.
You are encouraged to use visual aids. Do not put your note info on a power point slide.
