Ohio University Statistics Presentation
Description
Assignment Directions: Presentation
50 points
We will compose a presentation version of Proposal Argument 2 in PowerPoint, Prezi, Canva, or Google Slides. As we put together the presentation, we will keep in mind that we are the “class expert” on our topic–we’re highlighting our paper’s most important points in the presentation. We will provide the audience with the problem, solution, background, supporting evidence, and conclusion.
The presentation must contain at least 10 slides but can contain more. We do not need to record ourselves presenting.
Checklist:
- Are there at least 10 slides?
- Does the presentation feature the paper’s main points and not a word-for-word repetition?
- Are the slides proofread and professional?
- Do the slides pay attention to the information learned in the course material on effective presentations? (Not too much text, clear graphics, source citation, etc.)
- Is all information that comes from a source cited? (This is no different than writing a paper)
Good to know: If anyone tries to upload a PowerPoint file and Canvas tells them the file is too big, please make the file smaller by opening the file and choosing SAVE AS –> REPLACE EXISTING FILE. If that does not make the file small enough to upload, please consider removing unnecessary graphics, animation, etc. that can make files large. If someone has Adobe on their computer, consider saving the presentation as a PDF and uploading the PDF to the assignment dropbox.
