University of Central Florida Question and Quotation Discussion
Description
- Question: Pose a question about the reading, either something you didn’t understand, something you want to challenge, or something you want the class to consider.
- Quotation: Pull a quotation from the reading and break down why you chose it–what is significant about it? How does it affect your thinking about class goals and objectives? What does it do for the larger text? Etc.
- Question and Quotation should amount to ~200 words or so.
- Comment: Comment on someone else’s question and quotation. Don’t just compliment them, add something. Discourse is like a good sandwich: the text provides us some of the substance, and your peers will add some delicious flavors, and you’ll want to add to the richness of the sandwich rather than say its good or bad or you don’t know.
