For Week 8, you should have already completed both the Introduction and Benefits for Audience Section. For this next stage of your draft, you will now add the Basis for Research, and the Review of Literature section with at least 2 sources fully reviewed under that sub-heading. You will eventually need a total of 4 sources, and 3should be articles from the TWU database or from Google Scholar with an author and page numbers – so you want to find articles that are PDF’s for these first 2 sources this week. Format this rough draft in MLA (like you would a final draft) with the all sections listed below AS SUB-HEADINGS IN YOUR PROSPECTUS (Please refer to Updated Prospectus Sample<-link here and follow that template):

• Introduction – with research question at the end
• Benefits for Audience – state why this research is important to your audience. Discuss how it will benefit a ‘specific’ audience – not just everyone – or to raise awareness, but try to define how your research can help a very specific audience in some way.
• Basis for Research – briefly explain why YOU chose this research. I want to know why is it important to you – not why it is important to research in general, or how it can benefit the audience (that is for the Benefits of Audience section). Here, I just want you to tell me why you chose this research question, and why you feel it is interesting to you specifically
• Review of Literature – should have completed reviews of at least your first two sources from the TWU database (see Week 10 Module for guidelines on finding sources and writing the Review of Literature section). If you would like to complete the Review of Literature Section with a total of 4 scholarly sources, then go right ahead – but remember, 3 must be PDF articles from credible scholarly sites such as the TWU database or Google Scholar – only 1 source can be from a website and that must be from a credible source such as a .gov, .edu, or .org site.

To be clear, the Prospectus should have all of these sub-headings written above each section.
